Rockdale County Hosts Inaugural Veterans Day Parade
ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. – Rockdale County invites the community to come together in honor of America’s veterans at the Veterans Day Parade, taking place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2 PM.
The parade will begin at Rockdale High School (1174 Bulldog Cir NE) and proceed down Main Street, ending at Conyers First Methodist Church. This inaugural event is a heartfelt tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
The parade will feature a wide range of participants, including:
- Veterans from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces
- Georgia Piedmont Technical College
- Local Boy Scout troops
- Public school marching bands
- ROTC units from three area schools
- The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and American Legion
- Walk of Heroes Veterans Memorial
- The Georgia National Guard
- Civil Air Patrol
- Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
- Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)
- Mounted veterans with horses from the Georgia International Horse Park
- Classic and convertible cars transporting honored veterans
- A possible military flyover, weather and schedule permitting
- Local businesses showcasing and celebrating their employee veterans
Community members are encouraged to arrive early, wear red, white, and blue, and cheer loudly for those who’ve worn the uniform.
