Outdoor Burning
Burn permits are currently suspended due to high fire danger conditions and/or increased wind speeds exceeding 10 mph. These conditions create an elevated risk for uncontrolled outdoor fires.
Rockdale County Fire Rescue receives real-time weather and hazard updates through the Interactive National Weather Service (iNWS) and Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security (GEMA/HS) alert systems. Based on this data, all outdoor burning is suspended until conditions improve.

811 is the national call-before-you-dig phone number. Anyone who plans to dig should call 811 or go to their state 811 center’s website before digging to request that the approximate location of buried utilities be marked with paint or flags so that you don’t unintentionally dig into an underground utility line.
