Zoning Amendment Process

Requires the completion of an application, the payment of a non-refundable filing fee, and two public hearings before a final decision is made by the Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners vote on the First Reading of a Draft Ordinance for each Zoning Amendment to forward the Amendment to the Rockdale Planning Commission. The Rockdale Planning Commission holds the first public hearing and the Board of Commissioners holds the second Zoning Public Hearing. The Board of Commissioners will vote on each Zoning Amendment at a separate Voting Session.
