The Authority shall be responsible for establishing policy and maintaining quality water and sewerage facilities to serve the citizens of Rockdale County by acting as an advisory/oversight to the Board of Commissioners, who are charged with the day-to-day operations of the water/wastewater system; with special emphasis on the establishment of short and long range goals to meet the needs of our growing community.  The water and sewerage authority consists of seven members appointed by the Board of Commissioners and must be a resident of at least two years prior to appointments.  Members serve a maximum of two consecutive three year terms.
